CREDIT Suisse has strengthened its UK equity income team with the appointment of Mira Bhogaita from Newton Investment Management, whilst also confirming its intentions to launch a new global equity income fund.
Bhogaita has joined the group as assistant vice president and equity portfolio manager. She was at Newton for two years as a global analyst and previously held a similar role at Deutsche Asset Management, where she first worked with Credit Suisse's other hires Graham Ashby and Michael Crawford. Ashby, co-head of UK equities, and Crawford, portfolio manager, both joined Credit Suisse in August, along with a further portfolio manager, Marcus Chandler.
