Zurich has claimed that pensioners are increasingly being forced to delay their retirement or return to work due to the rising cost of living.
A survey commissioned by the group has revealed that 64pc of Britons at retirement age are considering working post retirement, with 31pc postponing retirement for financial reasons. This emerging trend, dubbed 'returnment' by the independent think tank the Future Laboratory, is symptomatic of the changing face of retirement in the UK, Zurich claimed.
