Resolution Foundation calls for price comparison site standard

THE Resolution Foundation has called for a voluntary code of practice for price comparison web-sites.

It follows the publication of the Foundation's research, which found that such sites play an important role in assisting consumers in making informed financial decisions, though were not always sufficiently objective. The research backed up the findings of a Yougov poll, which revealed 45pc of people had used a comparison site to help them make a financial decision in the past year.
