SCOTTISH Widows Investment Partnership (SWIP) has appointed Tony Owens to a newly created role of finance director.
Owens has joined SWIP from Scottish Widows, where he was strategy, planning and monitoring director since July 2004. Prior to this, he was a corporate strategist at Blas corporate finance boutique. He has also been an adviser to Rutherglen Capital in Sydney and head of planning and head of planning and analysis at Martin Currie Investment Management, while has also held senior positions at the BBC, Bertelsmann Group and LEK Consulting.
