IN its response to the publication of the Hunt Review of the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS), AIFA lamented the review's short-reaching proposals.
Chris Cummings, director general of AIFA, said: "We were expecting the Hunt Review to go much further with its recommendations. "The industry is ready for, and was expecting, a much more comprehensive review. All of these recommendations will come at a cost and we must be mindful of where the funding will come from. "We are pleased to see that some of the proposals in our response have been reflected either wholly or in part within the recommendations. In particular, the formal recognition that the FOS small firms taskforce will be extended and have a far greater resource." The regula...
