Corr exit prompts BlackRock reshuffle

BLACKROCK has been dealt a double blow after its European manager Gavin Corr left the company and S&P removed its fund rating from a range of the company's portfolios.

Corr, who joined BlackRock in February 2005, was a key member of the European equity team headed up by James Macmillan and his departure has prompted the company to conduct an overhaul of its European funds. Richard Royds, the company’s managing director of UK retail funds, said: “Gavin’s departure has led to us looking at how we run our European funds and now we are conducting a re-allocation of the offerings.” Royds said Macmillan will now head up the MLIIF European, European Growth and European Focus funds, while Alice Gaskell will take charge of the ML Continental European and Eur...
