Barings appoints ex-Gartmore distribution chief as retail sales head

Baring Asset Management has appointed Rod Aldridge as head of UK retail sales.

Aldridge, who will be responsible for growing Barings business with UK intermediaries and leading the UK retail sales and client service team, will start his new role in mid-September. He will be based in London, and report to Rob Lay, head of European sales and client service. Aldridge was most recently head of UK retail distribution at Gartmore Investment Management. Prior to that, he was instrumental in the establishment of Cofunds.
