EEA Life Settlements fund toasts successive gains

THE EEA Life Settlements fund has delivered its 20th successive month of share price gains.

The fund returned 8.78pc to investors in the 12 months to August 31 2007, and 70 basis points for the month of August alone. The fund invests in life insurance policies purchased from third parties who assign over any future benefits to the purchaser. The purchaser maintains the premium on the policy and collects the benefits on maturity. Its objective is to provide a benchmark 8pc net annual return, on a stable long-term basis, with the prospect of total target net returns of 9-10pc per annum.
