CREDIT Suisse's retail arm is fast losing credibility amongst IFAs with two thirds admitting the recent turmoil and fund manager upheaval has put them off recommending its funds.
In the latest saga in a turbulent 12 months for the firm, Equity Income manager Errol Francis resigned to take up an appointment with his former Barings colleague Richard Buxton at Schroders’ equity team. This week Credit Suisse revealed to Professional Adviser it had been looking to recruit a “high profile individual” to join its equity team and that Francis was not aware of this. It would not reveal whether this was Francis’ reason for leaving, saying simply he had gone to a competitor.
