New Star ties up TATA deal ahead of India fund launch

NEW Star has confirmed its partnership with TATA Asset Management in anticipation of an Indian equity fund launch this quarter.

Launch of the fund will represent the latest step in the expansion of New Star's emerging market product range. Details of the India equity vehicle have yet to be submitted to the FSA but New Star says they will be announced in due course. TATA Asset Management is part of the TATA Group, one of India's largest business conglomerates. It comprises 98 operating companies - 27 of which are publicly listed.
