Maia Capital adds Artemis Global Hedge fund

Maia Capital has added the $270m Artemis Global Hedge fund to its cautious portfolio, completing its drive to acquire more esoteric assets.

The founders of the multi-manager boutique, Chris Ralph, Simon Mungall and Jason Collins, have endeavored to purchase funds which are less market sensitive over recent months, resulting in a third of the cautious portfolio now being invested in a range of absolute return fixed income and equity market neutral funds. The portfolio - which aims to achieve a long-term target of cash plus 3pc annualised with low levels of volatility - differs from its peers in that it now has just one UK fund and no commodity or property funds.
