Ethical products turnover 'low'

ETHICAL investment policies have a median annual portfolio turnover of 38.4pc, the lowest of all the investment sectors suggests a new study from Lipper Fitzrovia.

In addition, the statistics suggest half of all actively managed funds have a turnover of under 58.4pc while the typical holding period for stocks in UK funds is around 21 months. The research also revealed a quarter of managed equity funds in the UK had a portfolio turnover of above 94.7pc. Funds investing globally, it discovered, had a turnover of 64.5pc and those investing solely in the UK had a turnover of 55.3pc – the lower median rates.
