Aegon poaches Morley property trio

AEGON Asset Management has recruited three property fund managers from Morley and is planning to bring the management of its £2bn Aegon Scottish Equitable Property fund in-house.

Philip Clark, Gerardine Davies and David Wise will join Aegon in October. Clark was previously head of specialist funds in Morley Fund Management’s sector specialist funds team. Davies managed the £4.2bn Norwich Property Trust and Wise had responsibility for the Morley Pooled Pensions Property fund and Norwich Property Investment fund. Management of the Aegon Scottish Equitable Property fund has been outsourced to Morley since 2003, under the management of Robert Walton. The group plans to bring the entire £2bn fund in-house.
