Brown Advisory US smaller co's fund launched to UK

BROWN Advisory has rolled out a US equity Smaller Companies fund to the European retail market.

The Baltimore-based independent investment firm, which opened its London office last month, launched the fund through its Dublin-based UCITS III structure. Managed by Tim Hathaway and Chris Berrier, the fund has been seeded with $29m and will mirror Brown Advisory's $430m domestic strategy. The US Smaller Companies fund aims to generate above-average returns by investing in under-valued US small caps.
