Soc Gen unveils UCITS III bond details

Societe Generale Asset Management (SGAM) has unveiled details of its new UCITS III bond funds, managed by Lorenzo Gallenga and Gareth Isaac.

The SGAM Core Plus Sterling Bond and Total Return Bond funds will launch on May 21. They will be run from Paris by the former Newton managers, who will draw on the ideas of a large fixed income team covering all global markets and using various strategies to construct the portfolios. Both funds will be able to make use of UCITS III investment powers, principally through derivatives. The Core Plus fund will sit in the IMA UK Corporate Bond sector and will target 150 basis point outperformance of the Merrill Lynch Sterling Broad index, the standard benchmark for the sector.
