AXA Winterthur enjoyed a 22pc increase in new individual pensions business last year, from £1.59bn, to £1.93bn.
The company also reported a further rise in assets under management, to £11.45bn, an increase of just over £1bn on 2006. Within the UK pensions segment, key highlights included an increase of 38pc for Single Premium Personal Pensions, to £1.05bn; a 54pc rise for Income Withdrawal to £537m and Annual Premium Personal Pensions growth of 7pc, to £13.6m. Meanwhile, in the UK investments segment, new investment bond business grew 7pc to £112m.
