Mashreq Asset Management has launched Arab Tigers fund, which offers investors access to blue chip companies listed on the stock exchanges of the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.
The fund has been deemed UCITS compliant by the Irish Financial Regulator and is listed on the Irish Stock exchange. It is available to investors across the EU, with minimum investment set at $1,000 (£560). Imran Ahmed, managing director, Mashreq, said: "At Mashreq Asset Management we endeavour to follow best practices as far as regulatory environments are concerned which was our rationale for domiciling the fund in Ireland. The MENA economies are the fastest growing economies in the world today and it is essential that as investment managers we open up our funds to foreign investment." ...
