Gartmore replaces outgoing MM chief Brookes

GARTMORE is to bring in Tony Lanning as its new deputy head of multi-manager to replace the departing Marcus Brookes who will leave next year for Cazenove Capital.

Lanning will join Gartmore next month from private bank Arbuthnot Latham & Co, where he was head of collectives research. Prior to this he spent six years as director of research and investment at Origen, part of Aegon. Also joining Gartmore's multi-manager team in November is Katie Trowsdale, who will take up the position as senior analyst. She has over seven years experience in funds research and will be joining from Kleinwort Benson, where she was fund research analyst responsible for selecting and monitoring funds.
