CONSUMERS are ignoring advice from IFAs about whether SIPPs are suitable for them, according to tax specialist and accountancy firm Vantis.
The company has countered warnings from the FSA that SIPPs could become a major mis-selling scandal by claiming that investors are flying in the face of advice on the back of the hype surrounding SIPPs. Steve Harvey, director of Vantis Financial Management, said: “We have been approached by a number of people who think they want a SIPP because that is what they have read about in the press.
