Dossett predicts growth in Asian commerical property

ASIAN commercial property markets are set to deliver healthy returns to investors in the New Star International Property fund, according to Roger Dossett, head of property fund management at New Star.

His optimism is based on favourable economic prospects, a tight supply / demand balance in several key markets and rising investor confidence. The region has delivered a strong rental performance of late, with Singapore at the fore, delivering a 53.6pc year-on-year increase. Further growth is forecast, driven by a scarcity of supply, rising occupier demand and a grade A occupancy rate of almost 100pc.
