IFAs - life after with-profits

THE gap in the market left by the demise of with-profits is being filled, with over three quarters of the Professional Adviser panel of IFAs finding attractive alternatives in the current market place.

A number of asset management houses, including Fidelity and ABN AMRO, have recently launched what they labelled as alternatives to with-profits. The vast majority of the panel(77pc) said offerings like manager of managers or structured products did the job just as efficiently, and some believed their performance was much better than that of with-profits.
