AXA IM poaches Hall from Fidelity

AXA INVESTMENT Managers has poached Fidelity's joint head of fixed income and CIO Martin Hall as the new head of AXA IM UK.

Hall will remain in his role at Fidelity until the end of the month and will join AXA IM in June. He previously headed institutional sales and marketing at Morley Fund Management and was chief investment officer, fixed income for Norwich Union Investment Management. The loss of a senior investment professional such as Hall will be seen as a severe blow to Fidelity, especially as he played a key role in developing the company’s fixed income operation over the past few years.
