Standard Life announces strong Q1 results

STANDARD Life's UK life and pensions sales soared by 52pc to £3.220m, and individual SIPP sales increased by 117pc to £1.233m, according to its three months business results to March 31 2007.

Group pension sales increased by 40pc to £582m while Standard Life third party funds under management rose by 10pc to £42.4bn. UK segregated fund net inflows were up 195pc to £772m and UK mutual fund retail net inflows rose 76pc to £587m. The firm also recorded a strong quarter for its wrap offering. By the end of March there were 115 IFA firms using the platform and 2,500 customers with an average fund size of £140,000.
