Multi-manager head Kelly leaves Abbey

Abbey's multi-manager business has been hit by the departure of its head of client investment, John Kelly, who has left to pursue other opportunities.

Kelly joined Abbey in March 2002, and helped former chief investment officer James Bevan in the setting up of its multi-manager proposition. Bevan left the group at the end of last year. Abbey said that its new chief investment officer John Bearman will be overseeing multi-manager going forward. A spokesman for the group, said: “John played a key role in establishing Abbey as a provider of high quality and innovative investment products.
