Quilter Investors may be a new name in multi-asset investing but, writes Cherry Reynard, its Skandia heritage means it can justifiably claim to have been a pioneer of the sector

Tracing the labyrinthine history of Quilter Investors is no mean feat. The business most recently went through a major rebrand from Old Mutual Wealth in preparation for its listing on the London Stock Exchange in June of this year, but it has its roots in the old Skandia multi-manager business.  This summer's listing was part of a four-way demerger from Old Mutual and marked the end of a busy chapter in Quilter Investors' history.
