In this week's Investment Influencers video interview, profiling the most respected individuals who select funds, decide ratings or otherwise influence the allocation of investor fund flows, we chat to Bill McQuaker.
McQuaker, who has three decades of investment experience, joined Fidelity Multi Asset in October 2016 from Henderson Global Investors, where he was head of multi-asset. Before this, he worked at Credit Suisse, where he held roles in European equity strategy and quantitative research.
Over his extensive career, McQuaker has developed a rigorous and disciplined investment approach. He has a deep understanding of asset class behaviour, and substantial experience in managing multi-asset investment strategies to deliver specific outcomes for clients. He graduated from Edinburgh University in 1985 with a BComm degree in Business.
The Investment Influencers series, which has most recently featured Oren Kaplan of SharingAlpha, Mike Neumann of EQ Investors and Caspar Rock of Cazenove Capital, offers insights into how key players in the asset management sector see the world of investing and expect to deal with such challenges as greater market volatility, increased regulation and a growing trend towards short-termism.
