In this week's Investment Influencers video interview, profiling the most respected individuals who select funds, decide ratings or otherwise influence the allocation of investor fund flows, we chat to Mike Neumann.
Neumann is head of investment management at boutique wealth manager EQ Investors, which he joined in March 2016 with a mandate to protect its core values of providing clients with the very best possible service and investment performance.
Neumann started his career in the financial markets as a bond trader before attending the Cranfield School of Management to complete an MBA in 1996. He joined Bestinvest in 1997 and helped launch the firm's private client discretionary investment team in 2003. A Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investments, Neumann completed a BSc in Chemistry at the University of London in 1985.
The Investment Influencers series, which has most recently featured Caspar Rock of Cazenove Capital, Tom Slocock of Deutsche Bank Wealth Management and Etienne de Merlis of Signia, offers insights into how key players in the asset management sector see the world of investing and expect to deal with such challenges as greater market volatility, increased regulation and a growing trend towards short-termism.
