I  would suggest that Raymond James is a ‘niche’ platform, a statement I hope the firm would agree with. It has a number of business offerings in the UK, but the two primary solutions relevant to this article are the operations it describes as ‘independent contracting’, where it takes responsibility for the investment distributor’s compliance issues. The second relevant solution is a pure wrap platform. In both of these models its target market is discretionary fund managers (DFMs), who operate at the top end of the market.
