While reviewing global equity funds over a 12-month period from 1 June 2009 to 31 May 2010, we identified some key themes such as the return of caution and emerging markets coming to the fore. Return of caution To begin with, caution re-entered the markets towards the end of 2009, and from late November to late May 2010, a number of markets steadily retreated from their 2009 highs.
