The FTSE 100 yesterday had one of its best days in the past four weeks and remains positive this morning with a 21 points gain to 4,349 after BP, GlaxoSmithKline and Vodafone helped push the index along. Top gainer by share price rise is steel maker Corus, up another 2.5p to 54p after the company said it was selling off its Quebec, Canada aluminium production business to reduce debt ahead of its merger with a Brazilian competitor.
