The number of Self Invested Personal Pensions (Sipps) is set to explode: there will be approximately 500,000 SIPP schemes by the year 2010, representing a per annum growth rate of between 22%-25%, according to TrustNet, the UK fund information specialist. There are currently around 85,000 SIPP schemes, from more than 70 product providers, holding in excess of £20bn in assets, says TrustNet, who has issued a Sipp education guide jointly with Jupiter Unit Trust Managers.
