Expatriate financial advisers, the deVere Group plans to open offices in the Ukrainian capital, Kiev, and Hungary's capital, Budapest in February.
Commenting on the decision, Darren Height, Regional Manager for Eastern Europe for deVere said demand for services in Easter Europe had been building up in Kiev and Budapest for some time: “We are pleased to be putting permanent offices in place, both to service clients and grow our business."
The announcement comes soon after the deVere Group unveiled its commitment to opening in Lisbon in February. At the end of 2011, the group opened an office in Stellenbosch, South Africa, representing the 18th office that the group has opened worldwide in the two year period to 2011, and the sixth established presence in South Africa.
With a total of 12 new offices slated to be fully operational by the end of 2012, plans for a further nine are expected to be released shortly.
The global expansion strategy forecasts that the group will operate from 100 bases within five years.
