RBC Wealth Management is boosting specialist business services with the appointment of Michelle Wright, who will take on responsibility for US clients requiring wealth management in London.
Wright will work closely with advisers both in the UK and US. Her primary focus will be on building and establishing relationships with high net worth individuals with links to the Greater New York and East coast areas.
Commenting on the appointment, Mike Moodie, Head, UK, RBC Wealth Management, commented: “Michelle’s appointment is further proof of our dedication to US clients in London at a time when many UK wealth managers are deciding to scale back or exit the market. Our investments business in London has held a SEC licence for over a decade and we’re well-positioned to service increasingly sophisticated clients that are looking to London for a variety of wealth management solutions."
As a Director in the UK Private Client Wealth Management team, Wright will report to Martin Heale, who was appointed Head of Americas in July 2011.
Ms Wright joins from Barclays Wealth, where she was a private banker focused on financial industry professionals and US citizens residing in the UK. RBC Wealth Management is part of Royal Bank of Canada.
