The Federation of European IFAs (FEIFA) has revamped and updated its recruitment and passporting information service providing UK IFAs with opportunities to expand into the EU or return to the UK in a post-RDR world.
Paul Stanfield, Chief Executive of FEIFA explains that by teaming up with InStep Recruitment and ifamatch.com his Association is now much better placed to assist UK advisers who are seriously considering a career abroad. “A number of roles have already been filled at several of our member companies; increasing requests for international opportunities have been seen and are likely to continue as RDR approaches. Our objective approach provides information on all of the matters that such IFAs need to consider, rather than just the rosy image of huge earnings potential that is often too strongly focused upon.”
In addition, Stanfield points to the growing number of UK advisory companies considering becoming part of a European-based IFA entity or network, and then passporting back into the UK. “The recent FSCS levy seems to have encouraged many UK advisory companies to pursue all possible future options.” he explains. “We are now very well placed to direct these potential recruits to our relevant member companies and this has already proved successful in recent months. We can provide an objective view of the pros and cons of such a strategy, an independent view that appears to be highly valued at this point in time.”
