EEA Fund Management has recently embarked on an expansion into Asia and opened its first regional office in Singapore earlier this year. Peter Winders, EEA Marketing Director, said Asia was being targeted as a key region for future business growth.
“The successful registration of the EEA Life Settlements Fund, added to our local presence in Singapore, means we now have a solid base from which to grow our business in Asia. We believe investors will find our Life Settlements Fund a very compelling proposition, owing to its long track-record of providing consistent, high single-digit absolute returns.”
EEA Life Settlements Fund is a Guernsey-regulated and Channel Islands-listed OEIC, launched in November 2005. The fund invests in US life insurance policies. Policies are bought from holders with impaired life expectancy, the fund then pays all future premiums until maturity, when it collects the face value. The minimum investment is £25,000. Their is an initial charge of up to 5% and an annual management charge of 1.5%.
In addition to the Life Settlements Fund, EEA has a comprehensive range of specialist products. In Singapore, the company will also be focusing on developing its carbon-trading and environmental asset management and advisory business. EEA also offers hedge funds and managed futures strategies.
