Friends Provident International (FPI) has added two new funds to its mirror range, targeting investors at different ends of the risk spectrum.
The F&C Convertible Bond offers flexibility not found in other conventional fixed interest assets. Investors can tap into some exposure to the equity market upside while benefiting from the lower risk profile associated with bonds, says FPI.
The Sarasin GCC Equity Opportunities fund gives investors access to the six oil-rich countries of Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Oman and Bahrain that make up the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
Individual companies and the equity markets in these countries typically demonstrate low correlation to each other and high volatility. Therefore, the fund is designed for less risk averse investors looking to take advantage of the opportunities of investing in the region.
"These two new funds complement our mirror platform very well at this point in the current economic cycle," says Jim Henning, funds marketing and research manager at FPI.
