Guernsey-registered trust company, Hansard Management Services has hired Alan Northmore and Karen Blanchard-Foster to focus on client acquisition and development.
Northmore has been promoted to director, in client services, while Blanchard-Foster joins the firm as head of business development and marketing.
Blanchard-Foster previously worked with Investec Bank in business development and at Abbey National. Northmore has been with the Hansard group for nine years, latterly as director of Hansard Trust Company. He previously worked in trust and fiduciary for Coutts and HSBC in Guernsey.
Vanguard has appointed Nick Blake as head of retail sales at its newly established UK office.
Blake will be responsible for building Vanguard's business development and service team. He was formerly head of sales at Standard Life Platforms where he was responsible for the company's business plan and new business strategy.
BDO Stoy Hayward Investment Management has launched an investment advisory business called Fitzwilliam Asset Management. The website, www.fitzwilliamasset.co.uk offers investors online access to the Fitzwilliam range of funds for the first time.
