International private medical insurer InterGlobal is to offer its health plans in Vietnam.
The products will be marketed through a link-up with Vietnamese insurer BaoViet, and will mainly be aimed at foreign nationals and corporations in Vietnam, rather than at the local national market.
BaoViet-InterGlobal will operate through offices in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. The joint venture is InterGlobal’s fifth in Asia, following link-ups in Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore and China.
Commenting on the new venture, Tony Valin, general manager at BaoViet-InterGlobal, commented: “We are delighted to be teaming up with BaoViet. Our experience in developing international private medical insurance plans, coupled with BaoViet’s local expertise, means we can offer strong products to expats and corporations in this rapidly expanding market.”
