Jersey London conference to focus on property and hedge funds

More than 200 people are expected to attend the Jersey Funds London conference on 3 October, which will focus on the property and the hedge funds industry.

Presentations on property funds will be by Nigel Weston, partner at Mourant and Andrew Bennett, director at Standard Bank. Topics will include the future potential of real estate investment trusts (Reits) and the impact of the abolition of stamp duty on Jersey. Speakers on Jersey as a hedge fund jurisdiction include David Carse, director general of Jersey Financial Services Commission and Tammy Menteshvili, chief executive of the Channel Islands Stock Exchange.
