In spite of the European Central Bank's decision once again to hold the Eurozone base rate at 4%, Investec Bank (Channel Islands) has increased the interest rate on its Euro Investec Horizon Account rate by 0.5% gross to 4.75% gross (4.84% AER).
According to Moneyfacts, the 90-day notice account, which requires an opening balance of at least €50,000, $50,000 or £25,000, is now the top-paying offshore euro savings account.
Laura Preston of Investec said: “We are committed to making sure that we offer consistently attractive rates on our accounts. This means when the interest rate yield curve is positive we strive to pass as much of this onto our clients as possible at the earliest opportunity.”
