Canada Life International appoints M.D

Canada Life International (CLI) has appointed Sean Christian as its new managing director.

He replaces Tony Parry who held the position from 2004 to 2008. An accountant by profession, Christian joined the Isle of Man based life assurance firm as chief financial officer in 2005. He was appointed to the Board as finance and operations director in 2008 and takes up his new post from 1 January. "Sean's proven ability to drive and implement change has resulted in CLI continuing to attract significant business volumes during turbulent market conditions," says Ian Gilmour, senior vice president and general manager of the UK division.
