FundsNetwork has launched an excluded property trust targeted at non-UK domiciliaries.
Non-UK domiciliaries are able to put non-UK assets into the trust and avoid inheritance tax on these assets, even if they later become domiciled for IHT purposes. The trust is likely to be particularly appealing for clients who may become UK domiciled in the future or who have UK domiciled beneficiaries. In some instances, it may be used by UK domiciled clients who receive an inheritance from a non-Domiciled benefactor.
