HSBC Investments is now offering the HSBC GIF Bric Markets Equity fund for UK investors.

The product, managed by Patrick Gautier from Sinopia Asset Management was first launched in June 2006 as a sub-fund of HSBC’s Luxembourg domiciled Global Investment Funds (GIF) Sicav range. It aims to outperform the MSCI Bric index over the longer term through a combination of country allocation, stock selection and exposure management. The fund contains between 70 and 120 stocks. Sinopia uses quantitative analysis to select stock positions, which looks at a company’s earnings momentum.
