Royal London 360° has added two Sarasin funds to Paragon, its regular premium product, following a recent fund review.
The two funds are: Sarasin AgriSar and Sarasin EquiSar Global Thematic.
The Sarasin AgriSar fund targets capital appreciation from a diversified portfolio of instruments in agriculture and its associated sector. It aims to capitalise on increased global demand for food, especially meat and diary, in developing countries brought on by an explosion in world population.
Meanwhile, the Sarasin EquiSar Global Thematic fund is a core global equity vehicle avoiding the country-by-country approach. It instead places emphasis on companies expected to be the main beneficiaries of key global trends driving corporate profits growth and share prices.
"EquiSar should generate interest due to the 'thematic' approach the fund managers adopt, focusing on topical issues such as corporate restructuring, global pricing power and security of supply," says Douglas Law, head of marketing at Royal London 360°.
"Natural resources funds, such as Agrisar, are extremely popular with investors, consistently featuring in the top 10 most selected funds by number of policyholders since Paragon launched last June," he says.
