Gartmore Investment Management has announced it has promoted Tony Lanning to the role of head of multi-manager.
Lanning, who most recently worked at Arbuthnot Latham & Co but who previously spent six years at IFA firm Origen, joined Gartmore as deputy head of multi-manager in November 2007 following the departure of Marcus Brookes, now at Cazenove.
As a result of Lanning’s promotion, Bambos Hambi, who has headed the multi-manager team at Gartmore since joining in 2003, is said to be considering other options within the company.
Gartmore has announced a review of the multi-manager fund range “to ensure that they fully meet clients’ needs”.
