Scottish Life Assurance Company has completed the transfer of its business to Royal London Mutual Insurance Society. As a result of the transfer, Isle of Man-based Scottish Life International becomes a provider of life assurance and investment products for the Royal London marketing group. With a pro forma premium income of approximately £1.9bn, it will give Scottish Life International the financial capacity to launch new products and build presence in other countries. The company is planning a substantial advertising and marketing campaign aimed specifically at intermediaries to highlight the complementary strengths of Royal London and Scottish Life.
