Cordea Savills Wealth Management has launched its Warmley development project under its Qualifying Property Companies (QPC) structure, which enables investors to assume the role of developers and partake in commercial, residential and mixed use property developments while reducing inheritance tax (IHT). Investors establish trading development companies and after two years, each new company should qualify to receive the benefits of Business Property Relief, subject to the necessary conditions being met, thus allowing IHT relief on the value of shares in their development company.
