The fund will be offered in Switzerland, Austria, Sweden, Denmark, France, Spain, Portugal and Germany, and subject to regulatory approval in each location. Skandia is still gauging British investor appetite before launching in the UK.
The fund is a long-only pan-European fund, with the portfolio split equally between 10 fund managers, each of whom will include their 10 best ideas in their portion of the portfolio. Sterling, dollar and euro share classes will be available.
Crispin Odey (Odey Asset Management), Resolution Asset's Barry Norris, Gartmore's Roger Guy, Barings' James Buckley, SVM's Hugh Cuthbert and Liontrust's James Inglis-Jones, join others from outside the UK in the manager line-up.
Klein, Terry Burnham of Acadian, Didier le Menestrel of Financiere de l'Echiquier and Allianz's Dirk Enderlien.
The fund is the fourth in Skandia's Best Ideas series, following on from UK, global and long/short launches, which have gathered £800m in assets over the last 18 months.
