Mellon Global expands business to Australia

Mellon Global Investments has announced the expansion of its asset management business into Australia. Later in 2003 Mellon Global Investments Australia intends to launch a range of registered wholesale trusts specifically designed to leverage Mellon's experience in managing international mandates. Whilst no decision has been made as to which Mellon asset management subsidiaries will manage the new mandates, it is intended that these subsidiaries will leverage Mellon's international equity, international fixed income and emerging markets experience and capabilities.
