Isle of Man-based Anglo Irish Bank has launched an account with an interest rate guaranteed to be at least the UK base rate. The Privilege Base Rate 30 Account requires a minimum deposit of £5,000. It also offers withdrawal of funds at 30 days' notice and 10 free withdrawals each year, subject to notice period. In a separate move Moody's has also upgraded Anglo Irish Bank's financial strength rating to A2/P-1.
