Isle of Man-based Anglo Irish Bank has launched an account with an interest rate guaranteed to be at least the UK base rate.
The Privilege Base Rate 30 Account requires a minimum deposit of £5,000. It also offers withdrawal of funds at 30 days' notice and 10 free withdrawals each year, subject to notice period.
In a separate move Moody's has also upgraded Anglo Irish Bank's financial strength rating to A2/P-1.
Michael McGee, general manager of the Anglo Irish Bank Corporation, said: "Moody's upgrading of the group's short term and financial strength ratings to A2/P-1 reflects the bank's continued focus on asset quality and commitment to maintain its position as a deposit taker.
"Anglo Irish Bank has witnessed exceptional growth over the past 12 months. Moody's upgrade is industry endorsement of our strategy of developing a robust platform to take the business forward."
